Routes to Health
Design Strategy + Interaction Design
Routes to Health is a patient-centered medication support service that targets individuals whose medical conditions are impacted by Low English Proficiency (LEP). The service is designed to expand the reach of community based pharmacies through the use of one-on-one home visits by “traveling pharmacists.”
These individuals are essentially trained pharmacists that make house calls every week to a set list of patients provided by the community pharmacy. They provide the ability to intimately communicate and interact with their patients about their health and medication regiments, something that conventional big chain pharmacies rarely offer.
My team and I engaged in primary and secondary research through the use of in-person stakeholder interviews, data gathering and competitive analysis. We developed personas from the interview data and ideated solutions to their needs and behaviors. Our final prototype is a short video describing the overall experience of the service through the viewpoints of three identified core personas.
In collaboration with my teammates, my responsibilities also included producing concept mockups, presentation slides, storyboards, and the prototype video.
