Rickshaw Bags
Design Strategy + Video
Rickshaw Bags is a bag manufacturing company based in San Francisco. Their belief in human powered productivity trickles down into the design and manufacture of their messenger bags, which are made from 100% recycled PET. My team and I performed a sustainability audit on the company’s sustainability practices and product life cycle through the use of on-site interviews, product analysis, and sustainability frameworks we learned from class.
Along with a 15 minute presentation, we produced a short film telling the story of a Rickshaw bag’s life cycle using hand-illustrated paper cutouts, a whiteboard, a video camera, a microphone, and some fishing line to follow the human powered theme in our production.
In addition to analysis work, I was also responsible for developing additional graphics and the final presentation.
