About Me

About Henry

I'm a user experience designer currently living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Initially, I thought engineering would be my career path coming out of college, but I quickly became fascinated by the rich world of design, particularly visual, interaction, and user experience design. Since then, I've worked on a variety of projects, applying my broad skillset with the goal of continuously expanding my creative and technical understanding.

I enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams, mainly because of the opportunity to learn from my teammates. I recently graduated with a MBA degree in Design Strategy from the California College of the Arts, where I've had the pleasure to meet and collaborate with some amazing individuals from very diverse backgrounds. The degree is centered around design thinking and the unity of design, finance, strategy, and sustainability, all within the context of business and its future.

Although my interest is in interactive user interfaces, I'm a firm believer that a meaningful experience should not be restricted to a screen, keyboard, and mouse; nor should design thinking be only applied towards digital media for that matter. I'm a big fan of being a "design generalist," wearing many hats and working on a wide gamut of projects with the ultimate goal of satisfying a human-centered need. If you'd like to work with me, feel free to drop me a line.

On occasion, when not reading up on design, technology, or culture, I can be found playing volleyball, basketball, eating, or listening to an eclectic collection of music.

And yes, people do call me Hen.
